To say I’m proud of my little gal is an understatement. It all started when Ashlynn made the amazing decision to be baptized and we had some friends over to celebrate that she decided she wanted to give back and include everyone.
Thank you to our dear friend Brian in the chorus for this snap while I video’d!
I’ve heard Travis speak at photography workshops and always in awe of him and his family and the way they give back. I shared with Ashlynn and she knew immediately that’s what she wanted to do. The organization Shoes for Love collects any shoes, any shape and size to take to orphanages in South America and Africa. 160 million shoes just thrown away is such a staggering number and this is a great way to give back as well as recycle. What started as a small collection amongst our friends went viral on Ashlynn’s instagram and soon kids were bringing shoes to her school. Nataleigh posted how proud she was of Ashlynn on her instagram and then Nataleigh’s friends were bringing shoes to school. Much to our surprise The Clay Today ran a piece that was submitted by her teacher at Fleming Island Elementary.
If you are interested in donating shoes please contact me at email@example.com or call/text me at 904-891-2061 and I will send you our address. We will keep a couple of bins by our front door and you are welcome to toss them in or we will be happy to pick them up from you. Thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts XO!
